These pictures were taken at ‘Matthiesen Park’, Next to ‘Starved Rock’ in Utica, Illinois. I then discovered the awesome powers of a free program called ‘the GIMP,’ and GIMP’d them. It might have been better to just leave them alone, but I had a great time messing them up, anyways
- Part of the same path. I tried to make the colors really stand out to give it a ‘tropical’ feeling.

- A path that runs next to a creek in a canyon
- “When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth.” Genesis 9:16 NLT
- The camera I used does not do this scenery justice. Stepping stones leading to a deck of stairs next to a stone wall.
- I think it is cool that a picture can be doctored to look like fall, even if it is in summer with the leaves being full and green.
- Normal picture, changing all colors to a dark blue, placing a layer on top for fog effects
- Roots are exposed at the base of the trees. Used the GIMP to give a dark and rich green for the leaves.
- Doctored to look like fall. Everything is black and white except the leaves.
- Same picture is used for ‘White Fall.’ This time, I wanted to give the image a vibrant jungle look to it.
- I like how this warp effect draws attention to the deck of stairs.
- I think it is cool that there is a way to make everything black and white except for the leaves.
- I did my best to try to make this look like a really really healthy green forest.
- I took the same picture from ‘Green Forest’ and make it look like a colorful fall.
- I tried very hard to edit this picture and make it look better, but I always mess it up. We will just keep it like it is ;)
